Notes
The 1967 meeting was the first to be referred to as an “AGM”.
The references to “4th” and “7th” suggest that the only meetings between 1966 and 1971 were those in 1967 and 1970, with no meetings taking place in 1968 or 1969.
No AGM was held in 1974 or 1988, the latter presumably being due to the Editor’s illness.
The location of the 1980 AGM was not mentioned in the magazine, but was presumably at a hotel in Northampton.
The date of the 1982 Nova/SN Search meeting was advertised in advance as July 10, but was given as July 11 in the subsequent report.
The numbers in brackets are the numbers of attendees as subsequently reported. For the 1965 Solar Eclipse meeting the attendance was merely recorded as “disappointing”, while an (unspecified) record attendance was claimed for the 1973 meeting.
