Tonny Vanmunster, Landen (not Standen as quoted in earlier circulars) independently detected the outburst on Oct 25.854UT at mv=13.7 according to a message relayed by Gary Poyner and also as quoted in CVC 20 edited by Tonny. Gary Poyner advises us that the last outburst detected was on 1994 July 13 at mv=13.4. SS LMi This star, on the UK Patrol's Recurrent Objects Programme, has not previously been adequately charted by the TA Group. He has obtained a precise position from results obtained on Oct 26 RA 03h15m36.82s DEC +42 28'13.8[2000] This indicates that the star currently bright is NOT the candidate proposed by Downes and Shara (PASP 105 No 684 p127 [1993] but an object about 15" NW of their candidate.
