He notes it was not visible on Aug 31.8UT to a limit of 14.0. Tonny Vanmunster, Landen, Belgium independently detected the outburst on Sept 1.881UT at mv=13.5. Further estimates: 1994 Sept 1.913UT, mv=13.3 (Gary Poyner, Birmingham,UK 0.40-m refl) 2.827UT, mv=13.4 (J.Pietz, Germany) The previous recorded outburst of 1993 Sept was announced in E777. AQ CYGNI (=Q1994/070) Mike Collins, Everton, Beds, UK reports his detection of a variable object on recent UK Nova Patrol photographs which was later found to be AQ Cygni. The star, located at RA 20h54.1m DEC +33 31' (1950), is listed in the GCVS with a range of 13.4-15.5p but with no type. Mike finds from a survey of earlier patrol photographs, that this is a probable Mira variable with the following light ephemeris: JDmax = 2447675 + 274 E V635 CAS (=Q1994/071) Gary Poyner, Birmingham, UK reports an outburst of V635 Cas, the optical component of an X-ray source: 1994 Aug 29.967UT, mv=15.3 (Poyner, 0.40-m refl) Sep 2.019UT, mv=14.7 (Poyner) 2.040UT, mv=14.5 (Poyner) Confirmed: 1994 Sep 2.034UT, mv=14.3 (Tonny Vanmunster, Belgium, 0.35-m refl) V1114 CYG (=Q1994/072) L.Szentasko, Veresegyh, Hungary reports an outburst of this little studied UG object on 1994 Sept 1.798UT, at mv=14.9 (0.334-m refl). Taichi Kato reports that he has obtained CCD images which confirm the outburst but the object is located a little south-east of the star marked on the Downes/Shara Atlas. Guy M Hurst
