This object is located at: RA 02h19.5m DEC +42 49' [1950]. It appears the above magnitude may be the brightest ever recorded for this object which is usually fainter than magnitude 15. Leo Takalo in Finland has kindly faxed a copy of their chart to me today (taken from a book by Crain) and the following e-mail version has been developed from their copy and via use of the Hubble Guide Star Catalog CD Rom. Observations are urgently needed. \\\\\\3C66A c BL Lac obj with outbursts S,120,10,S -C, 2.3778, 43.0356,2000 P,02h 19.5m +42 49' (1950) O,60,60,14,[15pv -L,L,3C66A -T,Type BL Lac Seq:V by Crain -S,TA931105 R,13.56,64,40,A R,14.77,65,47,B R,15.75,67,60,C M,8,94,67 -L,L,83 M,10,94,75 -L,L,101 M,10,94,99,37,26 M,11,94,83,32,72,101,48,104,70,85,70,86,103,59,9 M,12,24,101,115,114,25,53,45,48,51,50,41,30,76,54 M,12,21,71,110,73,40,111,64,101,18,103,55,101,74,83 M,12,119,40,90,36,80,68,68,18 M,13,83,53,66,70,31,113,106,64,38,79,63,99,14,43 M,13,6,32,39,87,21,43,50,54,38,37,107,42 M,13,11,105,89,119,52,5,102,3,69,20,46,27,74,7 M,13,116,26 M,14,59,90,81,72,96,77,110,44,101,54,67,37,39,88 M,14,67,79,48,51,109,76,103,67,22,108,104,51,109,46 M,14,23,46,31,103,96,83,115,82,77,108,34,52,47,55 M,14,14,60,93,85,69,114,13,30,12,47,100,64,41,49 M,14,59,36,44,82,81,32,73,89,95,31,109,38 M,14,61,33,85,98,72,6,56,6,8,10,61,13,4,14 M,14,40,20,87,5,50,3,21,1,106,25,98,21,26,5 M,15,99,96,23,93,103,51,28,29,52,4 E,107 ////// Basic chart automatically generated by GSC2FIND ver 1.4
