Telephone:(0256)471074.Int:+44256471074 Telex:265871(MONREF G) Quote"72:MAG60138 ATT G.HURST"in FIRST line. ------------------------------------------------------------------- POSSIBLE COMET=Q1989/15 Jost Jahn (MAG40869) informs us that Andreas Nathues of Muenster Germany has recorded a possible comet on two exposures on 1989 Mar 5 at about 23hUT. The exposures of 10m and 20m were taken with 200mm f3.5 lens on K2415 and the object was located at: RA 13h45m DEC +50 18'(1950). The estimated magnitude was mpg=8 and the object 2.8'x1.1' with no tail visible. The possibility of a ghost image has not been ruled out as the object showed no obvious motion.
