Observations are therefore urgently needed and any that have already been made but not reported should be e-mailed as soon as possible. SUPERNOVA 1987O IN UGC 4060. The possible supernova announced on E107 has been confirmed and designated 19870. Observations with the Kitt Peak 0.9-m refl. gave V=18.3 on Jan 3.3UT. IAUC 4525 SUPERNOVA 1987P IN ZW0752+1430 Results also with the Kitt Peak telescope have confirmed this object (cf E108) as a supernova, designated 1987P. On Jan 2.4, V=approx 17.5.
