Apparent bright nova in M31
Position: 00 42 37.00 +41 16 56.7 [2000.0] (KAIT)
IAU circular No. 6981 announced that the Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope
(KAIT) team has discovered
an apparent nova in M31. This nova is unusually bright and it would seem to
have reached magnitude 14.4 on 1998 July 27.

The nova is around magnitude 15.8.

The nova has faded.
