The discovery was made on 2016 March 21 at 16h52mUT when the unfiltered magnitude was 17.2. The position is: RA 10h18m19.31s DEC +41 25 39.30 (2000) A spectrum (LCOGT) obtained on 2016 March 23 indicated it was of supernova type SN II. Seiichiro Kiyota of Japan recorded it on March 23 at magnitude 14.92 with a clear filter. On a recent NewsFlash issued by AAVSO Darriba Martinex reported it at magnitude 15.07 (CV) on April 1.95870UT. Guy M Hurst
