V1251 Cyg

Position: 21 40 54.36   +48 39 43.4  [2000.0]   12.5 - ?

The recent outburst of this variable was first noticed by Gary Poyner on 1994 December 30.773 when the star was at 13.0. By 1995 January 2 it was around mag 13.5. Astrometry by Nick James and Brian Manning obtained during this outburst confirmed that the object is mis-identified in the first Downes and Shara catalogue. The position given above is about 9" S and 17" E of their position.
